Melaka River Cruise

Planning to buy a ticket for the Melaka River Cruise? See our information below!

Information:

The Melaka River, or Malacca River, is a beautiful sight. But the attraction is not just physical. Around the river, history plays a huge role. The Melaka River was used by the Portuguese in the 16th century to conquer the city. The historic city of Malacca is divided in two by the Melaka River – Red Square on one side and Chinatown on the other.

The river is flanked by several beautiful structures that can be seen from the cruise, including Dutch Square (or Red Square), traditional villages and other tourist attractions. The cruise also passes under several ancient bridges connecting the two banks of the river, including a pedestrian bridge similar to the Rialto Bridge in Venice.

Opening hours:

The Melaka River Cruise is available every day from 09:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
