Melaka River Cruise

Melaka River Cruise

Are you planning to buy a ticket for the Melaka River Cruise? See our information below!

Information:

Melaka River, or Malacca River, is a very beautiful sight. But its appeal isn’t just physical. Rond om de rivier speelt de geschiedenis een gigantische rol. The Melaka River was used by the Portuguese in the 16th century to conquer and take over the city. The historic city of Malacca is divided in two by the Melaka River – Red Square on one side and Chinatown on the other.

The river is flanked by several beautiful structures that can be seen from the cruise, including the Dutch Square (or Red Square), traditional villages, and other tourist attractions. The cruise also passes under several ancient bridges that connect the two banks of the river, including a footbridge similar to Venice’s Rialto Bridge.

Opening hours:

The Melaka River Cruise is available every day from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
