If you’re looking for one of the most rewarding viewpoints in Krabi, Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) should definitely be on your itinerary. This active Buddhist temple is famous for its challenging climb of 1,237 steep steps that lead to a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint overlooking Krabi’s dramatic limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and, on clear days, even the Andaman Sea.
The climb isn’t easy, but the sense of accomplishment once you reach the top is absolutely worth it. You’ll be greeted by a giant golden Buddha, peaceful temple grounds, and one of the most spectacular 360° views in Southern Thailand. Even if you decide not to climb all the way up, the temple complex at the base is well worth exploring, with caves, shrines, monks, and plenty of monkeys roaming freely.

– By scooter: approximately 30 minutes
– By taxi or Grab: around 25–30 minutes

From Krabi Town
– Only 15 minutes by car or taxi. You can also take a local songthaew, which is the most budget-friendly option.
