📍Getting There?

The waterfall is located in the village of Pria Laot, approximately:

• 15–20 minutes from Sabang Town
• 10–15 minutes from Gapang Beach
• 20–30 minutes from Iboih Beach

From the parking area, it’s a short 10–15 minute walk through the forest. The first section is easy, after which you’ll make your way over rocks and cross a shallow stream several times. Sturdy shoes or water shoes are therefore highly recommended.

💶 Price:  

The waterfall is free to visit. You’ll usually only pay a small parking fee of around Rp 2,000. There is no official entrance ticket.

Pria Laot Waterfall is open daily from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Best time to visit:

• 08:00–10:00 AM: Peaceful, cooler temperatures, and beautiful morning light for photos.

• 03:00–04:30 PM: Pleasant temperatures and often stunning afternoon light, while still giving you plenty of time to return before dark.

• Visit in the morning if possible; it’s cooler and usually much quieter.
• During the rainy season, the waterfall is even more impressive, but the trails can be slippery.
• Bring plenty of drinking water, as there are very few facilities at the waterfall.
• The trail passes through the jungle and can be slippery and rocky in some sections.
• There is no lighting along the trail, so make sure to leave well before dark.
