The Tomb of the Sidabutar Kings is located in Tomok Village, on the eastern side of Samosir Island.
From Tuk Tuk:
- Scooter: approximately 10 minutes
- Car: approximately 10 minutes
- Bicycle: 20–30 minutes
From Parapat:
- Take the public ferry to Tomok (approximately 30–45 minutes).
- From the ferry terminal, it’s an easy 5–10 minute walk through Tomok’s lively souvenir market to the entrance.
The tombs are easy to combine with a visit to Tomok’s traditional Batak village.

Entrance: Usually free, donations are greatly appreciated. Occasionally, a small fee may be requested if a local guide provides a tour.
A donation of around IDR 10,000–20,000 is considered appropriate.

The site is generally open 24 hours, but the best time to visit is between: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM. (During these hours, local guides are usually available, and the nearby souvenir shops are open).
