The Gunung Kawi is an archaeological area in Bali. The temple is one of the most beautiful temples around Ubud. It is the oldest, largest and most revered place in Bali.

Located in a lush green valley along the steep banks of the Pakerisan River, the 11th century Gunung Kawi consists of 10 candi or shrines carved into niches of a large rock wall. Around the temples, the whole area is surrounded by beautiful rice fields.
