Temple street night market is the most famous night market and best place to enjoy street food in Hong Kong. It is already super cosy and busy during the day and from around 05:00 PM, Temple street turns into one big chain of market stalls and delicious food stalls. The brightly coloured neon lights of all the buildings and garlands of lights dance around you as hundreds of market stallholders try to sell their (funny) wares.  

Around the corner from Temple street you’ll find the Jade Market, where you can buy really anything made with jade during the day. Besides Temple street and Jade Market, you can also visit Goldfish Market, Ladies Market and many more. If you love markets and street food, Hong Kong is a great city!

Temple street is open every day of the year from: 02:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

From 05:00 PM, Temple street turns into an amazing street food walhalla.

  • This market is held every evening off Nathan Road on Kowloon Island. It is definitely the liveliest spot in the city at night.
  • Above all, don’t forget to negotiate the price here. The merchants always start with a far too high asking price.
