Palais des Beaux-Arts, Lille

Planning to visit Palais des Beaux-Arts? Check out our information below!

Information:

The Palais des Beaux-Arts is the largest museum in Lille and is actually the second most important museum in France after the Louvre. If you are an art lover, this museum is one of the most impressive things you can do in Lille. The exterior of the building is very impressive and inside, you walk through gigantic corridors with beautiful works of art. On the ground floor, you will find an extensive collection of archaeological objects from Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

At the museum, you can view as many as 60,000 works of art, including works by Rubens, Breughel, Monet, Manet, Donatello, Raphael, Rodin and Rembrandt and Van Gogh. The paintings are divided by country and time. This gives you a good idea of how painting has developed through the centuries and different countries.

Opening hours:

Palais des Beaux-Arts is closed on Tuesdays and open the rest of the week from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
