If you are in Vienna, a trip to Schönbrunn Palace should not be missed, as it is more than worth it. Schönbrunn palace is a beautiful building that takes you back in history. Built in the late 17th century, the castle was meant to be bigger than that of Versailles, unfortunately it did not succeed, but it is still very imposing and extremely luxurious. The castle has more than 1.400 rooms in total. Take a guided tour, learn about the history of the Hasburg royal family and the famous Empress Sisi, and visit 40 magnificent show-off rooms, which will give you an idea of the luxury with which the admirers wanted to outdo their guests.

The large park that surrounds Schönbrunn Palace is at least as special. The park has an associated conservatory and even a zoo. But what particularly stands out is Gloriette, an arch at the top of the hill overlooking Vienna’s forests and the two botanical greenhouses with unique flowers and plants from all over the world.
