Information:
In the centre of Dubai, at the foot of the Burj Khalifa lies The Dubai Mall, the largest shopping centre in the world. The mall opened in May 2009 and became one of the most visited tourist attractions in no time. With more than 1,200 shops, it is part of the Downtown Complex that cost a sloppy $20 billion. Besides all the shops, The Dubai Mall also has a the fountain show, a skating rink, a go-kart centre and in the atrium Dubai Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the world with the adjacent Underwater Zoo.
The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, is a true underwater world with 10 million litres of water. This gigantic, futuristic aquarium houses more than 140 animal species and more than 400 sharks and rays. Besides viewing this giant aquarium, it also has a range of exciting and adventurous activities, such as a snorkelling experience to meet the sharks up close.
Opening hours:
Dubai Mall is open every day from 10:00 AM to midnight. The restaurants and food court are open until 01:00 AM.

Here are a few tips you should know before visiting the Dubai Mall / Aquarium!
- Access to the Burj Khalifa is only possible through the Dubai Mall on the LG level. Follow the signs “At The Top Burj Khalifa“.
- The Dubai Mall does not just have expensive shops, but also just normal and affordable ones.
