Koh Phi Phi Islands, Krabi
Planning to visit Koh Phi Phi Islands? See our information below!
Information:
Koh Phi Phi is the superstar of the Thai islands, in part because of the 2000 film “The Beach,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. It is an archipelago full of breathtakingly beautiful beaches, impressive rock formations, tropical fish and stunning viewpoints. In fact, Koh Phi Phi consists of several islands of which Phi Phi Don and the uninhabited Phi Phi Ley are the most famous.
Most people know the island besides the movie “The Beach” because of the tsunami in 2014. Then the island was severely affected in December, but fortunately completely rebuilt in a short time afterwards.
In particular, young British backpackers travel to the islands in large numbers, making it now a true party island. The charm of beautiful Koh Phi Phi has somewhat disappeared thanks to tourism, but backpacking here still remains very popular.
Opening hours:
Koh Phi Phi is a public island which can be visited every hour of the day.
