Place de la Bourse (Miroir d’Eau), Bordeaux

Planning to visit Place de la Bourse (Miroir d’Eau)? See our information below!

Information:

The beautiful 18th-century Place de la Bourse can be found on the edge of the Garonne riverbank. The square is surrounded by beautiful buildings, including the Palais de la Bourse and the Musée National des Douanes. At Place de la Bourse is a beautiful fountain, Fontaine des Trois-Grâces. Based on a story from Greek mythology, the fountain is very impressive.

Just in front of the beautiful square is the Miroir d’Eau, a photogenic mist fountain. This is a 130-metre-long pool with the largest reflecting pool in the world. It is only 2 cm deep and covers granite tiles, making the water look like glass when there is a layer of water. This gives you a spectacular view, which is especially special in the evening when all the buildings are lit up. So this square is a must visit during your city break in Bordeaux.

Opening hours:

The Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d’Eau are open 24 hours every day of the year.
