Mekong Delta (tour), Ho Chi Minh City

Are you planning to visit the Mekong Delta? See our information below!

Information:

Visiting the Mekong Delta is among the highlights your trip through Vietnam. It’s a miracle of Mother Nature you end up in. On the water in a boat, you see all kinds of things passing by. Floating houses, water buffaloes relaxing in the rice fields, boats full of coconuts, outside full of fruit or rice sail by at a leisurely pace and through the narrow, brown rivers you can discover local life. You can take a day trip to this area, which is about a two-hour drive from the city. This is easily arranged in Ho Chi Minh City.

A visit is an escape from the dizzying hustle and bustle of the city. Life literally goes by half in this place. It can be very touristy at times, a fun and alternative way to explore the area is to stay there for a night and explore one of the small islands by bike.

Opening hours:

The Mekong Delta is a public river that has no opening hours. The Floating market is not an all-day event, but is open from 05:00 AM to 09:00 AM in the morning. If you would like to visit these, so be sure to arrive early! If you go on a Mekong Delta tour, the times depend on what you agree with the tour operator.
