Information:
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square is one of the most visited sights in Hanoi. There are many visitors on weekends and national holidays.
It is the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s most iconic and popular leader, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’. The Mausoleum was built against the express wishes of Ho Chi Minh himself. In fact, his will stated that he wanted to be cremated, after which his ashes were to be scattered across different parts of Vietnam. Unfortunately for Ho Chi Minh, this last wish was not respected. His body is now kept here in a glass coffin.
Vietnamese from all over the country come here to pay their respects to the great leader Ho Chi Minh. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum has a real communist look as we know it from the old Soviet Union.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is open every day from: 07:30 AM until 07:30 PM.

- Entrance is free. But prepare to queue as the place is often crowded.
- You will not enter here without appropriate clothing and photography is strictly forbidden.
