This mausoleum is located in the capital of Morocco. The Mausoleum of Mohammed V, (he was King of Morocco until 1961) stands on a large complex on the other side of the great Hassan tower and contains the tombs of a Moroccan king and his two sons. The Mausoleum is always guarded by four beautifully dressed guards.
The tomb is also open to non-Muslims and once inside you will be amazed. Decorated with gold leaf and a white exterior, it is one of the city’s most striking landmarks. You can easily visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan tower together.
Opening hours:
The mausoleum of Mohammed is everyday open from sunrise to sunset, but avoid visiting around lunchtime when worshippers observe the midday prayers.
