The Kasbah of the Udayas is a kasbah in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The Kasba is a small village surrounded by big walls that allow you to escape the hustle and bustle of the Moroccan capital.
The Kasbah of the Udayas is located at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg. Inside this gigantic complex are several historical buildings. One of the attractions is a mosque from the 10th century that was restored in the 18th century. The old Kasbah of Rabat has thick walls, high entrance gates and also treats visitors to a beautiful view over the beach, the city and you can also walk around in a picturesque neighborhood full of blue and white painted houses.
Since 2012, this fortress has been added in the World Heritage List, as part of the tender Rabat, modern capital and historic city: a shared legacy.
The Kasbah of the Udayas is open 24 hours a day.
