Hassan Tower
Are you planning to visit the Hassan Tower? See our information below!
Information:
The Hassan Tower is a special appearance. The Hassan Tower is a 44-meter-tall minaret that can be seen from much of the city.
The Hassan Tower is the legacy of one of the most prestigious construction projects in Morocco and should become part of the largest mosque in the world. But the special thing about the tower is that it was never really completed. Financial malaise was the reason that construction was halted in the year 1199 and the robust tower, together with about 200 columns, is the only thing that still reminds us of the project.
The special tower is a must-see in Rabat. On the same ground you will also find the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, until 1961 he was the king of Morocco.
Opening hours:
The complex where the Hassen tower can be admired is open every day from 06:30 AM to 10:45 PM.
