A visit to Kuala Lumpur is not complete without a visit to the famous Petronas Twin Towers. In fact, we would almost say that a visit to Malaysia is not complete without visiting them. They are an icon of not just the city, but the entire country, and are designed to be just that.

The Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest twin towers in the world from 1998 to 2004, dominating the skyline of Kuala Lumpur and have become a part of local history, giving Malaysia its well-deserved global identity. The Petronas Twin Towers consists of two towers identified as Tower 1 and Tower 2. Tower 1 has been completely filled by Petronas and its subsidiaries, and Tower 2 has been made accessible to various companies for office space rental. The 451.9 m tall towers have been used in numerous pop culture movies and games around the world.

Opening hours:

The Petronas Twin Towers are open from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM (last entry is at 5:30 PM). The towers are open all year round, every day except Monday.

Tips and Tricks!

Here are a few tips worth knowing before you visit the Petronas Twin Towers!

  • Pay attention! The towers are always closed on Mondays.
  • Buy a ticket online and make sure you don’t have to wait too long.
  • Visit the Petronas Twin Towers during the day, but also in the evening! In the evening, lights have been set up, making them stand out beautifully.
