Lake Bled, Julian Alps, Slovenia


What can you expect:

The Lake Bled is a beatiful lake in the Julian Alps of northwestern Slovenia, where it adjoins the town of Bled. The area is a tourist destination. The lake is 35 km from Ljubljana International Airport and 55 km from the capital city, Ljubljana. The island in Lake Bled is not only the most popular island in Slovenia, it is the only natural island in Slovenia. Just under an acre in size, it now houses several buildings.

The Lake Bled is one of the most visited places for any tourist who come to see Slovenia. It is also the only place that has an island with a 17th-century church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary And you can swim to! Without a doubt Bled is one of the most picturesque locations in Slovenia and a great open water location.


To visit the Lake Bled by yourself is free. For a full day tour you will pay: 59-75 Euros per person a group tour, or up to 350 Euros for a private tour (total for 1-2 people).

Swimming in the lake is free of charge, no matter where you decide to go on the lakeshore. But you will need to purchase an entrance fee for visiting the Grajska Lake Bled beach under the mighty castle.
