What can you expect:

The Nyhavn in Copenhagen is the most famous street in the Danish Capital City, a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen, Denmark. Stretching from Kongens Nytorv to the harbour front just south of the Royal Playhouse, it is lined by brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century townhouses and bars, cafes and restaurants.

It used to be the important gateway from the sea to the old inner city at Kongens Nytorv (King’s Square), where ships handled cargo and fishermens’ catch. It was notorious for beer, sailors, and prostitution.

Today the beautiful old houses have been renovated and restaurants dominate the old port. Nyhavn is filled with people enjoying the relaxed atmosphere by the canal, jazz music and great food.

Don’t miss a visit to Nyhavn on your Copenhagen holiday. You must visit a waterfront Danish pub and enjoy a boat cruise!
