What can you expect:

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney Harbour located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century’s most famous and distinctive buildings.

When you think of Sydney, the striking architecture of the Opera House will undoubtedly come to mind. The white semicircular and pointed roofs are known all over the world and are an important icon of Australia. The shape of the Sydney Opera House resembles a sailing ship floating on water; a nice reference to the harbor where the glittering futuristic building is located.

The complex consists of several rooms. The largest is the Concert Hall, with more than 2,500 places offering all kinds of cultural activities ranging from classical music and opera to pop concerts and fashion shows. Attending a concert in the beautifully designed Concert Hall is a unique experience. But be quick with your reservation because tickets for this are very popular!

If you are unable to attend a performance, taking a guided tour is a good alternative. An experienced guide will tell you all the ins and outs of the impressive building and give you a look behind the scenes. The Sydney Opera House is located on Bennelong Point in central Sydney and is within easy walking distance of the Circular Quay bus, train and ferry hub.
