What can you expect:
The most famous bridge in London is without a doubt Tower Bridge. Towers Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become a world-famous symbol of London. The bridge can be opened, but people try to prevent this as much as possible. The bridge opens about 900 times a year.
The Tower Bridge can be found next to the Tower of London, another popular London landmark. The bridge also owes its name to the Tower of London. Highly recommended is to view Tower Bridge after dark. Thanks to the lighting, the bridge is a beautiful picture to see in the evenings.
If you want to know more about the bridge, you can visit the Tower Bridge Exhibition and the Tower Bridge Experience. The highlight of the experience is the footpath across the bridge at 42 meters. It is not just a pedestrian path, you walk on glass so you have a beautiful view of the traffic driving below you and of course also of London itself.
