United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates, or Emirates for short, is a country in Western Asia (the Middle East). Its capital is Abu Dhabi and its largest city is Dubai. It shares a land border only with Oman and Saudi Arabia, while in the Persian Gulf it has maritime borders with Qatar and Iran. The official language of the United Arab Emirates is Arabic, but English is also well spoken. The best-known cities are: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
